At 12 years old, Trey knew his destiny lay in the legal field. At 16 he enrolled in the paralegal program at Central Piedmont Community College and by 19 he had obtained two associate degrees and a bachelor of science in criminal justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Trey has worked in civilian law firms and as a Legal Services Specialist for the Marine Corps. He is currently working towards a masters in mental health counseling.
Trey is a service connected service disabled veteran from three eras - the Cold War, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and the Global War on Terrorism. He was medically discharged with 100% VA disability in 2014. Having gone through the new IDES disability program, he has an inside perspective on disability claims.
